The Effect of War

#1 Rations of supplies

Ration is a coupon that is used in war to exchange for food in the war time.
The purpose of a ration is because of the people left in the country. When a war is happening there could be an increase of the price of the food so since they didn't want food riots.
They rationed items as food items and normal house things like typewriter, eggs, milk, tea. This happened because Nazis were sinking ships.
Call drank canned milk alot and liked it. Whenever Call went to the captain's house he always searched for  canned milk and he could give it to Call because he had ration coupons.
This picture is the front page of the ration coupons.
#2 The GI Bill
The GI Bill is the  The G.I. Bill (officially titled Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944, P.L. 78-346, 58 Stat. 284m) was an omnibus bill that provided college or vocational education for returning World War II veterans (commonly referred to as G.I.s) as well as one year of unemployment compensation. ...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GI_Bill The Bill's original name was Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944, P.L. 78-346, 58 Stat. 284m. Roosevelt signed this bill in to war. It was intended to give education to people who were in the law fighting.I think it's a good idea because since they had to work for the country the country should do something for the veterans.Call gets the bill after he went in to the war.
This picture shows a veteran studying by the GI bill.
#3 The D-Day
D-Day The Normandy landings were the landing operations of the Allied invasion of Normandy, also known as Operation Overlord and Operation Neptune, during World War II.The purpose of the D-Day was that Allies had established a firm foothold in Normandy. D-Day was successful. If I was a German soldier I would have felt to kill all the Germans and get this over with. Britain: 2,700 killed

United States: 1,465 killed

Canada: 500 killed

Germany: 4,000 killed This much people died in D-Day.
This Picture shows of the veterans landing in the Normandy.
